Job summary
ABB Robotics Italy is seeking an experienced Project Lead Engineer to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. You will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger ones, applying design thinking and design for excellence concepts.
The role supports Robotics General Industries in Italy with a hybrid work model (#LI-Hybrid) and frequent travel (70%).
Qualifications
- In-depth experience in industrial robotics with ABB robots, applications, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, and related robotic peripheral equipment.
- Bachelor degree or above in computer science, automation or related field.
- Ability to travel around 70% (national and international) and work in a fast-moving robotics environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
- Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Assisting in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects.
- Using checklists to perform design verification according to standards and guidelines.
