ABB Robotics Italy is seeking an experienced Project Lead Engineer to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. You will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger ones, applying design thinking and design for excellence concepts.

The role supports Robotics General Industries in Italy with a hybrid work model (#LI-Hybrid) and frequent travel (70%).

Competenze

• In-depth experience in industrial robotics with ABB robots, applications, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, and related robotic peripheral equipment.
• Bachelor degree or above in computer science, automation or related field.
• Ability to travel around 70% (national and international) and work in a fast-moving robotics environment.

This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Robotics General Industries business in Italy.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 3 Years of experience in industrial robotics, with hands-on expertise in ABB Robots, Robot applications, Commissioning, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance.
• Good understanding of Industrial Automation Systems, PLCs, and related robotic peripheral equipment.
• Bachelor Degree or above, major in computer science, automation or related field.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, products, and evolving customer requirements in the automation and Robotics industry.
• You are able to travel around 70% of the time (National and International travel)
• You are fluent in English and Italian

Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €39.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
