Job summary

ABB Robotics Italy is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing for automation, robotics, AI, and advanced technology. The role emphasizes supplier relationships, cost optimization, and supply continuity for innovative engineering projects, with a hybrid work model in Italy.

You will work with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams across international sites, applying strong technical understanding of automation and AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years of procurement experience in industrial automation, robotics, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical and commercial negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively in an international context.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for automation, robotics, AI and advanced technology categories.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, service levels, and long-term partnership agreements.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing and Project Management teams in an international context.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and supply chain optimization.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and industrialization projects.
