Fondazione Chips-IT cerca un Research Engineer specializzato in RF IC design per guidare lo sviluppo di circuiti integrati per comunicazioni avanzate, radar e wireless ad alta velocità.

Il candidato ideale possiede Ph.D. o Master's in EE con specializzazione RF, esperienza comprovata su RF/mmWave, strumenti Cadence/ADS/HFSS, e una forte propensione all'innovazione. Ruolo in ambiente internazionale, con opportunità di dottorato e lavoro ibrido.

• Esperienza RF/mmWave IC dallo definition a tape-out e misure.

Responsibilities

• Guidare R&D su RF e IC misti ad alto freq per comunicazioni avanzate.
• Architect, progettare e validare blocchi RF (LNA/PA/VCO/mixer).
• Guidare integrazione di sistema e packaging/co-design.
• Supervisionare studenti Master/PhD nel progetto HF.
• Proteggere IP aziendale e pubblicare ricerche RF.
• Monitorare trend per orientare ricerche future.

The Fondazione “Italian Center for the Design of Semiconductor Integrated Circuits,” also known as the Chips-IT Fondazione, is a nonprofit research and technology organization under the supervision of the Ministries of Industry.

Research Engineer – RF Integrated Circuit Design

Are you a skilled RF IC designer ready to tackle the technical challenges of next-generation wireless and high-frequency electronic systems? Fondazione Chips-IT seeks a Research Engineer with a strong background in Radio Frequency (RF) and millimeter-wave (mmWave) IC design to lead pioneering development of integrated circuits for advanced communication, radar, and high-speed wireless applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead R&D activities on RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits for advanced communication, wireless transceivers, and high-frequency systems.
• Architect, design, and validate complex RF blocks (such as LNAs, PAs, VCOs, mixers, and synthesizers) in advanced silicon technologies.
• Guide system-level integration and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on packaging and co-design approaches.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD students working on high-frequency designs.
• Protect intellectual property and publish impactful research in the RF domain.
• Track emerging trends in wireless technologies to shape future research directions.

Requisiti

Requisiti

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar, with a clear specialization in RF and analog/mixed-signal IC design.
• Track record of RF/mmWave ICs successfully completed from definition to tape-out and measurement.
• Deep knowledge of RF IC design, layout, and simulation tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS, GoldenGate, Ansys HFSS, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of semiconductor processes, RF device modeling, and advanced packaging techniques.
• Hands-on experience with lab validation, high-frequency test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
• Visionary, independent thinker with a drive for technological excellence.

In conformità con le normative vigenti, il range retributivo lordo annuo previsto per questa posizione è compreso tra Euro 25.000,00 e 55.000,00. L'ampiezza del range è finalizzata a valutare candidature con diversi livelli di esperienza; l'offerta finale sarà strettamente commisurata all'effettiva esperienza e alle competenze del candidato, e sarà integrata dai benefit aziendali previsti per il ruolo.
