Job summary

UL Solutions Renewables is seeking a Due Diligence Intern to support its Renewables Advisory team in Italy. The role focuses on researching permitting, grid connection requirements, and documenting applicable legislation for renewable energy projects.

Based in Carugate with a hybrid working model, the internship offers hands‑on experience in environmental and social due diligence for solar PV, wind and BESS, working closely with technical advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or current master's in electrical/industrial/environmental engineering or renewable energy.
• Interest in due diligence and renewable energy sector (solar PV, wind, BESS).
• Prior internship or project in energy, due diligence or project management is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, proactive, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research administrative processes for developing, building and operating energy assets in Italy.
• Identify permitting requirements and authorities involved with timelines.
• Review grid connection processes for distribution/transmission projects.
• Document applicable legislation and approval authorities.
• Support Environmental and Social Due Diligence and Equator Principle Reviews.
