Job summary

UL Solutions Renewables in Italy is offering a Due Diligence Intern role to support Environmental and Social Due Diligence and regulatory reviews for solar PV, wind and BESS projects. Based in Carugate with a hybrid model, the internship covers permitting, grid connection processes, and documenting relevant legislation for renewable energy projects, in collaboration with technical advisors.

Qualifications

• Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken (Level C1/C2).
• Interest in due diligence, environmental engineering and renewable energy (solar PV, wind, BESS).
• Prior internship, academic project, or experience in renewable energy, due diligence, or project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research administrative processes to develop, build and operate renewable energy assets in Italy.
• Identify permitting requirements, authorities involved, and timelines.
• Review grid connection processes for distribution or transmission projects.
• Document applicable legislation and authorities in the approval process.
• Support Environmental and Social Due Diligence and Equator Principles reviews.
