Job summary

CapsLock is seeking a Social Media Video Editor & Designer to craft platform-first videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The role centers on short-form editing, storytelling, and dynamic motion graphics, with additional graphic design for thumbnails and overlays.

You will collaborate with the social team, ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, and stay ahead of trends and formats while delivering engaging, performance-driven creative work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video editing and motion graphics.
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Graphic design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator or Figma.

Responsibilities

• Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook focusing on hooks, pacing, storytelling, and platform formats.
• Turn raw footage into polished social content with cuts, captions, transitions, music, voiceovers, SFX, and VFX.
• Adapt content for different platforms, formats, aspect ratios and technical requirements.
• Create motion graphics and supporting assets (overlays, text animations, thumbnails, static posts, Stories).
• Develop concepts and drafts, incorporating feedback into final deliverables.
• Collaborate with the social media team to review performance and optimize creatives based on engagement metrics.
• Work cross-functionally with CRO, Media Buying, Sales and other teams to support campaigns and goals.
• Stay current with trends, editing styles, platform updates, and new formats.
• Maintain organized project files and version control.
