Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking a freelance Social Listening & Insights Specialist to join our vendor team on a project-based basis, with remote work options.

The role focuses on monitoring brand health, analyzing trends, and turning insights into actionable recommendations for marketing, product, and strategy teams. Must have 2–3 years’ experience, native Chinese, and professional English, with expertise in major analytics tools.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Social Listening Expert, Social Media Analyst, Strategist, or Consumer Insights Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of key social media platforms and how users engage on each.
• Proven experience with analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Meltwater, Sprinklr, Synthesio, Talkwalker, Sprout Social, Digimind, Sysomos, or similar.
• Ability to write and optimize Boolean queries for deep-dive insights.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse brand health, industry trends, competitive landscape, and campaign performance through social listening tools
• Build and refine complex Boolean queries to extract meaningful data
• Interpret and report on social media metrics across platforms like Wechat, Rednote, and others
• Create and present data-driven reports and insights that inform marketing, product, and strategy teams
• Provide strategic recommendations based on real-time consumer sentiment and social media trends
• Maintain a strong understanding of country-specific target markets and cultural nuances
