Deel is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Infrastructure – Messaging & Async Platform team. You will design, operate, and scale a messaging/async platform powering multiple services with high throughput and reliability.

You should excel in distributed systems, observability, and performance at scale, and have hands-on experience with NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, or similar.This role offers remote work across regions, competitive compensation, and a strong ownership mindset.

Competenze

• Strong professional experience as a software engineer, ideally in infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with messaging or pub/sub technologies (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, fault tolerance, retries and backpressure.
• Experience operating production systems at scale with monitoring and incident response.
• Proficient in Typescript, Go, or Python; cloud and container orchestration (Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure).

Mansioni

• Operate and improve the async platform based on NATS for multiple engineering teams.
• Develop tooling and platform capabilities for safer, more reliable async communication.
• Improve reliability, latency, throughput, and observability of messaging systems.
• Define best practices for event publishing, retries, and schema evolution.
• Collaborate with application teams to migrate or optimize messaging usage.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive long-term improvements.
• Contribute to architecture decisions around event-driven systems.
