Pragmatike is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Compute Team responsible for the core compute platform powering backend services. The role is remote within Europe with ASAP start and English language requirement.

You will mentor ~8 engineers, guide architecture, and stay hands-on with production-grade code (~50%). Expect leadership, strategic decision-making, and a culture of ownership and excellence.

Competenze

• 7+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and distributed backend systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Envoy and service mesh technologies.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK).
• Experience with CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
• Solid Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and monitoring/alerting.

Mansioni

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Compute team (~8 engineers).
• Drive architectural direction for the compute platform focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Contribute hands-on to design and optimization of core compute services.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Backend teams on priorities and integrations.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and technical coaching.
