Ecosmic is hiring a Research Engineer with a strong mathematical background and at least 3 years of experience to develop and optimise complex algorithms for our space-domain awareness platform. The role blends software development with mathematical modelling, working across R&D and software infrastructure in a fast-paced startup.
The position is fully remote from Italy, with a preference for candidates willing to relocate within Italy for compliance.
Competenze
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science with a strong mathematical background.
- 1–2 years of software production experience.
- Python proficiency.
- Ability to read and validate mathematically complex code.
- Experience with algorithm optimisation.
Mansioni
- Develop, review, and optimise mathematically complex algorithms for our space awareness platform.
- Collaborate with space engineers and software engineers to improve efficiency and data pipelines.
- Review numerical implementations across projects and algorithms.
- Data structuring and preprocessing to ensure data quality.
- Continuously optimise code to reduce latency and improve performance.
