Aurora SRL is seeking a part-time Geospatial Analyst to support Earth observation projects in Roma. You will process satellite and in-situ data, develop workflows, and deliver spatial intelligence products for research clients.

The role requires strong remote sensing and GIS skills, experience with Copernicus data, and a proactive approach to data management in a fixed-term, part-time arrangement.

Competenze

• Degree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Physics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with satellite data processing and geospatial analysis.
• Proficiency in remote sensing software: SNAP, ENVI, ERDAS or Google Earth Engine.
• Strong GIS skills: QGIS or ArcGIS Pro.
• Python programming for geospatial workflows (rasterio, geopandas, xarray, sentinelsat).
• Knowledge of Copernicus data ecosystem and access platforms (Copernicus Data Space, CREODIAS).
• Structured and organised approach to data management.

Job Description

Aurora SRL is looking for a Geospatial Analyst specialising in satellite applications to support research projects in Earth observation, environmental monitoring and spatial intelligence. This is a part‑time, fixed‑term position based in Roma, ideal for professionals who want to combine research activity with other commitments.

You will process and analyse satellite data from multiple platforms (Copernicus, commercial VHR), develop geospatial workflows and contribute to the delivery of actionable spatial intelligence products for research and institutional clients.

We are seeking someone with solid remote sensing skills and a passion for translating satellite data into meaningful insights.

• Experience with LiDAR data processing or photogrammetry
• Background in climate science, agriculture, urban monitoring or natural hazards
• Published research or conference presentations in remote sensing
• Experience with ESA or Copernicus-funded projects
