Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Machine Learning Engineer: Ranking & Personalization based in Italy. You will design, build, and maintain scalable real-time personalization services across e-commerce products and platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to improve discovery and engagement through experiments and ML models, delivering measurable business impact while working in a remote-first team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in applied machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data technologies.
• Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade personalization, recommendation, or ranking systems.
• Designing and analyzing A/B tests to guide product and model improvements.
• Experience with a major public cloud platform is an advantage.
• Excellent English communication skills for stakeholder storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain real-time ML services powering ranking and personalization for e-commerce.
• Enhance personalized shopping experiences with recommender, ranking, and discovery capabilities based on user behavior.
• Analyze user interactions to build models delivering relevant customer experiences.
• Experiment, validate hypotheses, and measure impact on business metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to improve features.
• Communicate findings and decisions clearly to stakeholders with actionable insights.
• Take ownership from investigation to production, improving reliability and scalability.
