Job summary

GSCC, a global network hosted by the Meliore Foundation, seeks an Italy Desk Associate for Strategic Communications and Campaigns. The role involves developing and executing campaigns, media outreach, and stakeholder engagement across Italy, Europe, and beyond. Reports to the Italy Desk Lead; 12-month fixed-term contract with potential renewal.

Residency in Italy and fluency in Italian and English are required; some international travel may be needed. Location: Italy, flexibly remote.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have track record in crafting and pitching stories to Italian audiences.
• Deep knowledge of climate communications and messaging for campaigns.
• Experience leading climate campaigns and digital media campaigns.
• Ability to analyze digital metrics and adapt strategies.
• Strong network-building across climate sector and media.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize communication strategies and create assets for organic reach.
• Lead digital campaigns and manage real-time campaigns during events.
• Build relationships with Italian journalists, media outlets, and influencers.
