Job summary

Railpool is seeking a focused Maintenance Documentation Engineer to draft and update maintenance documentation for locomotives operating in Italy, ensuring compliance with European Regulation 2019/779. You will track hardware/software configurations and support ECM functions in an international setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical roles, strong problem‑solving, and fluent Italian with English at B2 level.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or management engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in technical roles; railway business is a plus.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Team‑oriented with ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Fluent in Italian and at least B2 level in English.

Responsibilities

Draft, update, and implement maintenance documentation for Railpool locomotives operating in Italy in accordance with European Regulation 2019/779.
Track and manage the hardware and software configuration of the fleet.
Provide technical support to other ECM functions.
Actively participate in the international ECM II function community.
Support the Italy ECM II manager in continuous improvement of fleet maintenance development.
Monitor fleet performance in terms of reliability and availability.
