Job summary

ABB in Italy (Lazio region) seeks a Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance planning for new production lines and facilities, driving reliability, maintainability, and safety improvements. You will oversee maintenance and update technical documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize energy efficiency.

You will respond to emergencies to minimize production disruption; strong problem-solving and supplier management are essential, with Italian/English communication required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering.
• Experience in Maintenance Engineering in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with technical documentation management, spare parts coding, and equipment data management.
• Experience managing suppliers and supporting small engineering/maintenance improvement projects.
• Strong problem solving, continuous improvement, and technical analysis.
• Collaborative and structured professional with cross-functional/external partner experience.
• Fluent communication in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Define maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and advise on reliability, maintainability, and safety.
• Oversee ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, lines, and facilities.
• Manage and update technical documentation of equipment and facilities.
• Propose improvement projects to reduce maintenance and improve energy efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies and breakdowns to minimize production disruption.
