Abylsen, an engineering consultancy in Europe, is seeking a Mechanical System Engineer to join its Rail Engineering Unit in Italy. The role focuses on development and integration of gangway and railway coupling subsystems for railway vehicles, with collaboration across customers, suppliers, and project teams.

The candidate will define and verify mechanical subsystem requirements, support integration, participate in design reviews, and contribute to architecture and operating modes, while working

Competenze

• Experience in system engineering applied to mechanical systems.
• Experience in requirements management, interface definition, mechanical integration, and V&V.
• Knowledge of mechanical/kinematic interfaces, loads, movements and operating conditions.
• Proficient in technical English.

Mansioni

• Define, manage, and verify mechanical subsystem requirements in compliance with railway standards and project specs.
• Support the integration of mechanical subsystems into railway vehicles, managing interfaces.
• Contribute to subsystem architecture, configuration, and operating modes.
• Coordinate Verification & Validation activities, including testing.
• Act as technical reference for subsystems, interfacing with customers, suppliers, designers, and project teams.
• Participate in Design Reviews and technical meetings.
• Collaborate with Requirements Management, Mechanical Design, RAMS, Safety, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, interface documentation, test procedures, and verification reports.
