ABYLSEN cerca un Mechanical System Engineer per l’Unità Rail Engineering. Il ruolo prevede sviluppo e integrazione di gangway e sistemi di accoppiamento inter- veicolo, definizione requisiti meccanici e gestione interfacce.

La posizione è ibrida: lavoro in sede a Pistoia (Toscana) e smartworking 1 giorno/settimana. Richieste: laurea in Meccanica/Meccatronica/Aerospaziale, esperienza in system engineering applicato a sistemi meccanici e inglese tecnico. Contratto a tempo indeterminato.

Competenze

• Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica/Meccatronica/Aerospaziale o equivalente.
• Esperienza o conoscenza di System Engineering applicato a sistemi meccanici.
• Conoscenza di gestione requisiti, definizione interfacce, integrazione meccanica e V&V.

Mansioni

• Definire, gestire e verificare i requisiti meccanici in conformità con standard ferroviari.
• Supportare l’integrazione dei sottosistemi meccanici nei veicoli ferroviari e gestire interfacce.
• Contribuire a architetture e modalità operative dei sottosistemi.

We are looking for a Mechanical System Engineer to join our Rail Engineering Unit and contribute to advanced railway projects, with a focus on the development and integration of gangway and railway coupling subsystems.

Main activities

• Define, manage, and verify mechanical subsystem requirements in compliance with railway standards and project specifications.
• Support the integration of mechanical subsystems into railway vehicles, managing mechanical, kinematic, structural, and functional interfaces.
• Contribute to subsystem architecture, configuration, and operating modes.
• Coordinate Verification & Validation activities, including functional, mechanical, and integration testing.
• Act as the technical reference for assigned subsystems, interfacing with customers, suppliers, designers, and project teams.
• Participate in Design Reviews and technical meetings.
• Collaborate with Requirements Management, Mechanical Design, Structural Engineering, RAMS, Safety, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, interface documentation, test procedures, and verification reports.

Technical skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience or knowledge of System Engineering applied to mechanical systems.
• Experience in requirements management, interface definition, mechanical integration, and V&V.
• Knowledge of mechanical/kinematic interfaces, loads, movements, installation constraints, and operating conditions.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in technical English.
• Experience in the railway industry and knowledge of gangway, coupler, or inter-vehicle connection systems will be considered a plus.

Workplace: Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy. Smartworking: 1 day per week.
