Job summary

ABB in On-site Italy (Lombardia - Bergamo area) seeks an electronics-focused HW engineer to design analog, power, and digital sections for industrial boards. You’ll translate requirements into hardware specs, work with system architects, and support validation and documentation in a structured R&D team.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, contribute to IP discussions, and ensure robust hardware through testing, with Italian and English communication."

Qualifications

• Studies background in Electronics.
• At least 3 years' experience in design and analysis of analog signal conditioning and power conversion.
• Experience with digital circuits and industrial communication protocols.
• Knowledge in EMC testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and schematics.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into technical specs.
• Familiarity with TRL and Technology Development.
• Familiar with Gate Model development processes.
• Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent and PSPICE.
• Able to communicate in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Realizing the architecture and block diagram of the electronic board.
• Describe system architecture and identify isolation barriers, power management, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with Agile Team to align and execute user stories.
• Drive IP discussions and patent-related activities.
• Translate system requirements into hardware development tasks.
• Support Test Lab across testing phases and validate final products.
