Job summary

IBA, a global leader in Proton Therapy solutions, seeks an experienced technician to operate and maintain the Proton Therapy System. You will troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support site testing and operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Physics or related field or Associate’s with 7+ years experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in electrical/mechanical system repair and maintenance of large integrated systems.
• Experience with Cyclotrons, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, X-Ray Systems, PLCs, and related control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Proton Therapy System (PTS) equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
• Conduct system inspections and report status to leadership.
• Support hardware and software testing and site activities.
• Collaborate with site staff and clinicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Train and mentor technicians and new colleagues.
• Complete duties with adherence to site policies and safety rules.
• Pass Oral Board examinations within 12 months of employment to remain eligible.
