Job summary

IBA, headquartered in Belgium and a world leader in proton therapy, seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair IBA systems across global customer sites. The role includes training customers, generating detailed reports, and proposing system improvements with the R&D team.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable discipline or 3–5 years of related field service engineering experience.
Solid knowledge and understanding of electronics.
Understanding of High Vacuum and RF (Radio Frequency) systems.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair IBA systems at customer sites.
Train customers to use equipment safely and correctly.
Generate accurate and detailed service reports.
Propose system improvements and work with R&D to implement changes.
Work from home when possible and visit customer sites; 50% travel is expected.
Handle hotline support and prepare for upcoming assignments with cross-functional teams.
