PeoItaly, authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is recruiting a Project Planner for a major Data Centre development in the Milan area. The selected candidate will be employed directly by the client and will join the planning team, with a short onboarding period in Amsterdam to align with international planning standards.

The role covers end‑to‑end project controls from pre-construction through handover, requiring strong scheduling discipline, progress reporting and risk mitigation, plus

Competenze

  • Previous experience in construction planning, scheduling or project controls on complex projects.
  • A background in engineering, construction management, project controls or a related technical discipline.
  • A strong understanding of construction sequencing, progress measurement, critical-path analysis and forecasting.
  • Experience collecting and challenging progress information from project teams and subcontractors.
  • The ability to produce clear reports, programme updates, variance analyses and recovery plans.
  • Confidence using planning software such as Primavera P6 or an equivalent platform.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Availability to work primarily on-site in the Milan area.
  • Availability to complete a short initial onboarding period in Amsterdam.
  • Previous experience on Data Centre, mission-critical or similarly complex construction projects would be an advantage.

Mansioni

  • Develop, maintain and control the integrated construction master programme from pre-construction through to commissioning.
  • Gather and validate progress information from site teams, engineering disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Monitor the critical path, milestones, dependencies, interfaces and construction sequences.
  • Translate project data into clear progress reports, curves, variance analyses and completion forecasts.
  • Identify emerging delays, constraints and programme risks before they affect key delivery dates.
  • Prepare realistic mitigation measures, recovery schedules and alternative sequencing options.
  • Support resource planning, productivity reviews and production-rate analysis.
  • Represent the Planning function during client, project-team and subcontractor meetings.
  • Assess change events, delays and their potential impact on the approved programme.
  • Maintain consistent project-control procedures and accurate planning records.
  • Work closely with construction, MEP, CSA, procurement and commissioning teams to align priorities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes.

PeoItaly, an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential international general contractor delivering mission-critical Data Centre projects across Europe.

The selected candidate will be employed directly by the client and join the planning team supporting a major Data Centre development in the Milan area. The position includes a short initial onboarding period in Amsterdam, providing direct exposure to the company’s planning standards, systems and international delivery model.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Planner who enjoys turning complex construction information into clear, reliable programmes. The role will provide visibility across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and control the integrated construction master programme from pre-construction through to commissioning.

Candidate profile
