Job summary

Sentinel Diagnostics in Milan seeks a Project Manager Biotech to plan, coordinate and monitor development and industrialization projects for In Vitro Diagnostics. The role requires 2–4 years in PM within IVD or biotech, strong Waterfall (Agile/Scrum a plus), and English proficiency.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while reporting milestones to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• PM with 2–4 years in IVD/biotech or similar
• Knowledge of Waterfall; Agile/Scrum a plus
• Knowledge of IVD regulations and standards
• Technical background in Molecular Biology/Clinical Chemistry/Immunochemistry/Mass Spectrometry
• Fluent English and strong Office suite skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive with ownership and accountability

Sentinel Diagnostics, leader in the development and production of IVD diagnostic kits for Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Chromatography and Lateral Flow, is looking for a:

PROJECT MANAGER BIOTECH

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects of development and industrialization of In Vitro Diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Draft project scope, objectives, deliverables, and overall project background and context
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
• Monitor project progress, adjusting plans as needed with respect to project scope, timeline, and budget
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and support Team Managers in resource allocation
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues
• Communicate project status, key milestones and challenges to both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to negotiate with customers and effectively manage communication during milestone calls and meetings
• Organize and facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, presentations and action trackers
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by promoting best practices, implementing new project management methodologies, and supporting the adoption of innovative processes and project monitoring tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar Project Management role within the IVD industry, or in Biotechnology or Biomedical service companies
• Solid knowledge of Waterfall project management methodologies (familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid approaches is considered an advantage)
• Knowledge of IVD and Medical Device regulations and standards
• Technical background in one or more of the following areas: Molecular Biology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunochemistry, or Mass Spectrometry is preferred
• Professional proficiency in English
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as Visio and Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Strong decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities
• A proactive approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
