Sonnedix is seeking an Engineering & Construction Project Manager to oversee permitting, contracting, engineering, procuring, constructing and commissioning large renewable plants across Italy. You will collaborate with EPCs, grid operators, government entities, and internal teams to keep timelines and budgets on track.

The role requires engineering or related degree, strong project management experience in complex construction, and proficiency in Excel and MS Project.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Contract negotiation skills and strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience in the Italian renewable market and proven project management on large construction projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and Project; working knowledge of AutoCAD and PVSyst is a plus.
• Experience using digital tools to improve efficiency and productivity.

Role Overview

The Engineering and Construction (E&C) Project Manager will oversee and manage the permitting, contracting, engineering, procuring, constructing and commissioning of new large‑scale renewable plants across various locations in Italy. The role ensures compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards while establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with EPC contractors, grid operators, governmental entities, internal stakeholders, and service providers.

Responsibilities

The E&C Project Manager will:
• Work concurrently on multiple renewable plant projects, taking overall responsibility for activities throughout the entire plant lifecycle – development, engineering, construction, and operations.
• Ensure cross‑functional teams receive timely project information to perform their duties effectively.
• Review and approve contractor documentation for completed plants, and monitor, analyse and report on performance and incidents during construction.
• Promote safe and efficient work sites and champion continuous improvement in PV engineering standards, best practices, and QA/QC aspects.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent
• Contract negotiation skills and strong written and verbal communication in English
• Experience in the Italian renewable market, including grid‑connection procedures and proven project‑management experience on complex commercial or industrial construction projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project or equivalent project‑management software for program control, budget monitoring and deviation management; working knowledge of AutoCAD and PVSyst is an advantage
• Experience using or developing digital tools or workflows to improve efficiency, innovation and productivity
