Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Project Management Senior Specialist for Climate Technology Solutions. You will lead complex EPC-like projects, ensuring delivery in line with contractual commitments, and coordinating cross-functional teams across hydrogen, CCUS, and energy transition technologies.

Role requires an Engineering Master’s degree and PMP/IPMA certification, with readiness to travel internationally and drive value and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Energy or equivalent.
• Proven experience in project management within Oil & Gas, Energy or Industrial sectors.
• Strong ability to manage project financials (revenues, margins, cash).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of contractual provisions, risks, and remedies.

Responsibilities

• Drive project delivery and coordinate supporting functions to meet contractual commitments.
• Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders and guide opportunities through challenges.
• Ensure on-time delivery, financial performance, and quality targets are met.
• Address and resolve project-related issues from reporting to risk mitigation and close-out.
• Interface with SMEs across hydrogen, CCUS, turbomachinery, and energy transition tech.

Joining the Climate Technology Solutions (CTS) Equipment team, you will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of complex projects, innovative products, related activities and resources.

As Project Management Senior Specialist – Climate Technology Solutions, you will be responsible for:

• driving your team and engaging all supporting functions as needed to smoothly execute in compliance with the contractual commitments
• being the to-go person for project stakeholders and a guide to get opportunities out of challenges and unpredictable changes
• making sure that project financials, on-time delivery and quality excellence meet and exceed targets
• addressing and resolving any project related matters, from reporting status at all levels, to risks mitigation, to project close out.
• acting as innovator, able to work with complex EPC projects, including New Products Development (NPD) content.
• interface with subject matter experts across hydrogen technologies, CCUS processes, turbomachinery, compression, and digital solutions as applicable.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Engineering Master’s degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, or equivalent) and relevant experience in Project Management in Oil&Gas, Energy or Industrial sector
• proficiency in managing project financials, including revenues, contribution margin and cash
• strong focus on value delivery and customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities
• ability to manage projects in fast‑moving, ambiguous, and evolving energy‑transition environments.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) leadership throughout the project lifecycle
• thorough knowledge of T&Cs glossary and dynamics, including contractual provisions, risks, claims and remedies management
• technical background in Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressor technologies as well as in energy transition technologies such hydrogen, carbon capture, geothermal and energy storage
• availability to travel internationally to visit customers, vendors or Baker Hughes locations
• project management certification from accredited institute (e.g. PMP, IPMA)

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 45,087 To 83.000

the provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
