Job summary

ABB's Distribution Solutions Division is seeking a Project Engineer to convert customer orders for Medium Voltage switchgear into accurate drawings and BOMs, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and safety guidelines.

You will engage with customers at various stages to discuss specifications, support project managers with claims, and help resolve technical issues while maintaining high service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electromechanical, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a project engineer in electrical distribution with medium voltage switchgear.
• Proficient in SAP, EPlan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Intermediate English skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety standards.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn new technologies, team-oriented, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
• Support project managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.
• Select adequate electrical equipment.
• Help customers resolve technical issues and assist on questions and comments regarding the product.
• Develop management and communication skills by working with operations and quality department.

This position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will convert customer orders for Medium Voltage switchgear into drawings and BOMs that comply with customer requirements. Each day, you will have technical discussions with customers at various stages of the project to ensure timely execution, in accordance with the order and quality and safety guidelines.

In this role, you will help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Leading the technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
• Supporting project managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.
• Selecting adequate electrical equipment.
• Helping customers to resolve technical issues and assisting on questions and comments regarding the product.
• Developing your management and communication skills by working with the operations and quality department.

Qualifications for the Role

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

• Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
• Minimum annual salary: €39.000,00
• Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
