ABB is seeking a role focused on expanding the Solid State Circuit Breakers (SSCB) offering within the energy transition. You will translate market needs into product specifications, support development, launch, and profitability, and collaborate across international teams to drive value.

You will manage lifecycle activities from requirements through pricing, while engaging with customers and sales on technical topics, within an Agile environment and hybrid/work-life balance emphasis.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in electrical, mechanical, or related field.

This position reports to

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to play an instrumental role in the energy transition with focus on new direct current applications by enhancing the Solid State Circuit Breakers (SSCB) offering. Each day, you will ensure that ABB has full understanding of market requirements for the SSCB and will transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability of our SSCB solutions.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• In-depth analysis of customer applications to determine product features
• Conducting valuation of market size and trends, as well as competitor analyses including identification of offering gaps and evaluating ABB's market standing
• Understanding and collecting market and customer requirements, and their impact on new developments for SSCB offer portfolio
• Managing the technical specifications of the assigned products and supporting the development of the business case
• Supporting customers and sales team on technical topics related to the SSCB
• Managing product ecosystem including master data, documentation and design and configuration tools
• Working within an Agile Team environment, embracing Agile methodology and practices to deliver value incrementally

Qualifications For The Role

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Management, or related discipline)
• Knowledge of power electronics technologies
• Strong ability to work effectively within cross-functional international teams
• You are at ease communicating in English
• Genuine interest in electrical products and passion for technical solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented mindset with an innovation-focused approach. Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and iterative development processes (considered a plus)
• Knowledge of low/medium voltage switchgear or circuit breaker technology (considered a plus)
• Product management or engineering experience within the electrical/industrial sector (considered a plus)

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

• Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
• Minimum annual salary: € 53.000
• Variable Pay: AIP Target 10% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
