Datalogic in Bologna is seeking a Program Manager responsible for leading complex software development projects and ensuring alignment with business goals. You will oversee project scopes, schedules, and budgets, serving as the main contact for stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree, PMP or Agile certification, and at least 5 years of experience in project management. The role offers a competitive salary between €50,000 and €55,000, along with benefits and variable compensation.

Job Description

The Role is responsible for ensuring project deliverables’ alignment to Business Goals through the adoption of adequate processes and tools, contributing to ensure project compliance with Budget and Timing constraints, fostering cross‑functional collaboration across teams and securing Stakeholder Buy‑in towards Business Goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee scope, plans, schedules and budgets to ensure project objectives are accomplished within the required time frame, budget and product cost parameters. Must demonstrate ownership and leadership to get the job done.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and taking full ownership of on‑time project delivery.
• Manage Program from concept initiation to full production delivery, interfacing with internal/external stakeholders.
• Manage and lead a Program Core team, consisting of representatives across all functions within the organization.
• Organize program activities and interdepartmental meetings, fostering seamless collaboration and integration across potentially siloed vertical knowledge centers of competence.
• Proactively assess project risks, develop, and implement comprehensive risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education: Master's degree in Engineering or in other Scientific Area

Languages: Italian, English Fluent

Technical & Soft Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in managing complex software development projects; experience within AI project development is a significant advantage.
• Proven expertise in leading hybrid projects, effectively applying both traditional (e.g., Waterfall) and incremental/iterative (e.g., Agile) methodologies.
• Proficient in utilizing relevant project management tools within both Waterfall and Agile environments, including Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog definition, prioritization, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Data analysis and presentation skills. Must have the ability to understand and represent a complex picture into a clearly communicated summary and adapt the message to stakeholders involved.
• PMP Certification and/or Agile certification are highly desired.
• Solid understanding of Stage and Gate process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and individuals at all managerial levels.
• Ability to proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating critical issues promptly.
