Job summary

Vaxxinova Italy is seeking a Product and Technical Director EU&IZ to lead product management and the technical value proposition for livestock vaccines in Italy and across the EU&IZ. Located in Brescia, you will drive launches, strategy, and lifecycle management, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director.

Travel up to 50% is required as you coordinate R&D alignment, develop distributor training, and manage a small regional team in a decentralized, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical and/or product management for livestock vaccines.
• 5+ years leading teams of professionals.
• Proven track record delivering results in technical and/or product management for livestock vaccines.
• Ability to achieve challenging targets.
• Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Experience in a decentralized, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a product management and technical service strategy with the local MT, aligned with customer and industry strategy.
• Define and execute product launch plans to roll out the R&D pipeline.
• Define hatchery and equipment strategies and related tactical initiatives.
• Ensure technical support for product lifecycle management.
• Coordinate scientific publications and participation in technical congresses.
• Develop marketing materials and deliver training programs for internal teams and distributors.
• Act as the key business interface with R&D regarding product profiles, unmet customer needs, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate activities and development of employees reporting to the role, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts, institutes, EW group members, and other stakeholders; ensure professional communication.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of three Regional Technical Managers and one Marketing Associate, ensuring priorities and high performance across the EU&IZ.

About the role

Vaxxinova is looking for an experienced Product and Technical Director EU&IZ: in this pivotal position you are responsible for developing and supporting product management and the technical value proposition in EU&IZ, in line with the agreed strategy. You connect customer needs, commercial priorities, and R&D to drive successful product launches and lifecycle management.

This role reports to the Sales and Marketing Director EU&IZ.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a clear product management and technical service strategy together with the local MT, aligned with our customer and industry intimacy strategy.
• Develop and execute product launch plans to successfully roll out the R&D pipeline.
• Define and implement hatchery and equipment strategies and related tactical initiatives.
• Ensure technical support for product lifecycle management.
• Coordinate scientific publications and participation in technical congresses.
• Develop marketing materials and deliver training programs for internal teams and distributors.
• Act as the key business interface with R&D regarding product profiles, unmet customer needs, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate the activities and development of employees reporting to the role, creating aculture in which employees enjoy working together, can contribute, and can grow.
• Maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders relevant to technical support, such as key accounts, institutes, and EW group members, in a professional and transparent manner.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of three Regional Technical Managers and one Marketing Associate, ensuring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and high performance across the EU&IZ region.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in technical and/or product management for livestock vaccines.
• At least five years of relevant experience successfully leading teams of professionals, with a demonstrated ability to supervise and coach employees in line with company and individual goals.
• Proven track record of delivering results in technical and/or product management for livestock vaccines.
• Demonstrated capability to achieve challenging targets.
• Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Experience working in a decentralized, multicultural environment.
