Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Lugagnano Val d’Arda (PC). You will procure indirect materials, services, and facility-related investments, ensuring cost effectiveness and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with sourcing, category management, and internal teams to manage POs, approvals, and contracts while supporting supplier onboarding and performance monitoring. Fluent Italian and business English are required.

Qualifications

• Education in supply chain, procurement, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, supply chain, maintenance, facilities, or a related operational environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Business English; fluent Italian.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing requests and issue purchase orders for indirect materials, services, and facility capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with sourcing and category teams to support supplier selection, sourcing activities, and procurement initiatives.
• Oversee lifecycle of purchase orders, including updates, revisions, and contract adjustments.
• Coordinate capital expenditure approval requests and monitor approval workflows.
• Support supplier onboarding processes and ensure compliance with corporate requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery commitments, identify risks, and coordinate solutions with stakeholders.
• Partner with Maintenance, Facilities, Accounting, and other functions to execute projects.
• Review supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies to facilitate timely payment.
• Assist in supplier agreements, blanket orders, and related documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers; act as a point of contact for procurement.
• Support supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve operational, quality, delivery, or invoicing challenges.
• Analyze procurement data and support reporting activities.
