Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking an dynamic Upper Primary Teacher to join the St. Louis School Colonna Campus in Italy, starting January 2027.

The successful candidate will motivate students to think critically, deliver English National Curriculum aligned lessons, assess progress, and collaborate across year groups within an international school community. Relocation support is provided by the school.

Qualifications

• University degree in Education or a related subject with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Upper Primary (Years 4–6).
• Strong understanding of literacy, numeracy, and cross-curricular learning at Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote the school mission, values and Positive Behaviour Policy to foster a respectful, inclusive learning culture.
• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and the Inspired Education ethos.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, inform planning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues across year groups to ensure continuity, progression and consistency in teaching and learning.
• Lead or assist with clubs, events, or school projects that enrich the wider learning experience.

ROLE SUMMARY

Inspired Education Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Upper Primary Teacher to join the St. Louis School Colonna Campus, starting from January 2027.

The successful candidate will motivate students to think critically, act responsibly, and develop a lifelong love of learning. You will play a key role in preparing students for their transition to secondary education through high-quality teaching and a supportive learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Model and promote the St. Louis School Mission, Values and Positive Behaviour Policy to foster a respectful, inclusive learning culture.
• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and the ethos of the Inspired Education Group.
• Use formative and summative assessments effectively to monitor progress, inform planning and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Work closely with colleagues across year groups to ensure continuity, progression and consistency in teaching and learning.
• Participate in professional learning, contribute to curriculum development and support whole-school improvement initiatives.
• Lead or assist with clubs, events, or school projects that enrich the wider learning experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• A university degree in Education or a related subject, with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Upper Primary (Years 4–6)
• Strong understanding of literacy, numeracy, and cross-curricular learning at Key Stage 2.
• Ability to use assessment data effectively to drive progress.
• Enthusiastic, reflective and passionate about inspiring independent, confident learners.
• Collaborative, innovative and eager to contribute to a thriving international school community.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• An EU passport or a valid visa to work in Italy would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is preferred.

Relocation support (including flights, baggage allowance and assistance with apartment search) is provided by the school.
