Job summary

Cogentech seeks an experienced in vivo imaging technician to support a new preclinical imaging service in Milan. You will focus on MRI and micro-CT imaging, ensuring high-quality data and adherence to welfare standards for mice.

You will prepare animals, perform data acquisition, and assist with image analysis while helping develop workflows and SOPs under the Head of the Facility in Milan’s Scalo di Porta Romana area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
• Extensive experience with laboratory mice and welfare standards.
• Experience with in vivo imaging techniques (MRI, micro-CT) and data analysis.
• Ability to develop and follow SOPs and optimized workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare animals for imaging following protocols and welfare standards.
• Perform MRI and micro-CT image acquisition with high quality data.
• Maintain imaging equipment and QC procedures.
• Assist researchers with image processing and analysis.
• Contribute to workflow SOPs and institutional compliance with 3Rs.
