Qualifikationen

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Computational Biology.
• 0–3 years of postdoctoral experience at the time of appointment.
• Experience in analysis, quality assessment and normalization of quantitative omics data, preferably mass spectrometry.
• Extensive experience in data analysis with R and/or Python.
• Experience in reproducible research.
• Knowledge in statistical data modeling, multiple regression analysis and machine learning.
• Proactivity and the ability to solve problems independently.
• Ability to work in a distributed, multidisciplinary research environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Aufgaben

• Data preprocessing of a large proteomics data set generated by high-throughput mass spectrometry.
• Exploratory data analysis and data normalization.
• Perform statistical data analysis and apply machine learning to identify protein markers characteristic of health states and trajectories.
• Dissemination of scientific results through scientific publications and contributions to scientific events.
