Job summary

The Institute for Biomedicine at Eurac Research in Bolzano, Italy, seeks a PhD-level researcher to analyze large-scale proteomics datasets and develop predictive models for health outcomes. You will preprocess mass spectrometry data, perform data normalization, and apply statistical and machine learning methods to identify protein markers of health states,

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Computational Biology is required.
• Experience with quantitative omics data analysis, preferably proteomics.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python for data analysis.
• Experience with reproducible research practices.
• Strong statistical modeling and machine learning knowledge.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a distributed, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Preprocess large proteomics datasets generated by high-throughput mass spectrometry.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and data normalization.
• Conduct statistical analyses and apply machine learning to identify protein health markers.
• Disseminate results through publications and scientific events.
