Comer Industries, based in Reggiolo, Italy, invites you to join the Quality Team as an intern to learn hands-on quality management and control for high-precision transmissions. You will work within our SAP ERP system, contributing to product control and quality systems under a dedicated mentor.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Management Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read/mechanical drawings; GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Theoretical knowledge or basic familiarity with SAP software is a strong asset.
• Written and spoken English (B2) for international interactions.
• Good knowledge of statistical process control.

Mansioni

• Support dimensional and geometric quality inspections on mechanical components using engineering drawings and specs.
• Log inspection data in SAP QM, manage blocking/releasing lots, and track quality workflows.
• Assist in managing internal and external non-conformances; participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys).

Position

Joining our Quality Team and guided by a dedicated company mentor, you will gain hands-on experience in quality management and control processes for high-precision mechanical transmissions. Our products are engineered for global OEM leaders in the earthmoving and agricultural sectors. As an intern, you will develop practical skills in both product control and quality systems, operating within our SAP ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

• Support dimensional and geometric quality inspections on mechanical components by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize the SAP Quality Management (QM) module to log inspection data, manage material status (blocking/releasing lots), and track quality workflows.
• Assist in managing internal and external non-conformances, participating in root cause analysis and monitoring corrective actions (e.g., 8D Reports, 5 Whys).
• Help prepare product qualification documentation required by major OEM clients (e.g., PPAP, APQP, and sample approvals).
• Assist in gathering data to calculate department KPIs and drafting periodic quality reports regarding supplier and production performance.

Requirements & Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial / Management Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings and a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Theoretical knowledge or basic familiarity with SAP software is considered a strong asset.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (B2 level or higher) to effectively write and speak with international customers.
• Good knowledge of statistical process control.

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with Production, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
