Job summary

Sonnedix is seeking a People Business Partner in Milan for a maternity cover. You will advise on people strategies, support key HR projects, and ensure a strong employee experience within Italy while collaborating with global teams.

The role requires strong HR expertise, Italian employment law knowledge, and fluency in English and Italian. Hybrid working and flexibility may apply as part of the package.

Qualifications

People Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

The People Business Partner (Maternity Cover) is part of the People function and reports to the Managing Director in Milan with a dotted line to the Head of People and Talent based in London. As the end-to-end point of reference for people matters in Italy, the People Business Partner will work as part of a global People team, partnering with colleagues across countries to align local priorities with Sonnedix’s global people strategy.
The People Business Partner will work closely with our Italy-based teams to support key projects such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, career development and organization design.
As a strategic advisor, the People Business Partner will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Italy to provide people solutions that support the delivery of company goals, and will continuously improve every aspect of the employee experience so that Sonnedix remains an attractive proposition for current and potential employees. Joining the People team in Milan on a maternity cover basis, they will ensure continuity of the People Business Partner role for our Italian office. They will be digitally literate, bring a learning mindset, and support talent development and our organizational culture. The People Business Partner will combine a comprehensive understanding of business goals, commercial acumen and curiosity.

Desirable Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of Italian employment law
• Proficiency in digital tools, with strong interest in developing AI-driven automation for operational workflows as well as in managing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• Ability to organize and stay hands-on across a wide range of People topics and to reorganize the agenda based on changing priorities
• Stakeholder management and consulting skills, able to operate at all organizational levels
• Fluent written and spoken English and Italian is required
• Relevant degree and Human Resources qualification or equivalent experience
