Atlantic Gate is seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to guide our Genoa-based operations, oversee daily freight forwarding activities, and develop a small team while remaining hands-on in day-to-day business.

You will drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and build strong relationships with carriers and partners to deliver outstanding service.

As we continue our growth journey, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Team Lead to lead our operations team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day business.

Your Role

As Operations Team Lead, you will oversee freight forwarding operations, support and develop a small team, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery. This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable managing people, improving processes, and handling operational activities when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily activities of the Operations department
• Support, coach, and develop a small team of operations professionals
• Actively participate in day-to-day operational activities, including import and export shipments
• Drive operational excellence by reviewing and improving processes and workflows
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
• Monitor operational performance and control costs while maintaining service quality
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, suppliers, and other logistics partners
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical, effective solutions

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations
• Experience across sea freight, air freight, and/or multimodal transport is an advantage
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead by example
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Customer-focused and proactive approach
