Mainfreight Europe in Milan, Italy is seeking a Carrier Representative to build, maintain and grow our carrier base to meet the transportation needs of customers. You will focus on buying and selling LTL/FTL truck freight, dispatching and booking loads while delivering excellent service.

Expect a high volume of calls, shipments tracking and timely updates to internal teams. You will work in a fast-paced team environment and uphold our company values.

Competenze

• English required; one of French, Polish, Romanian or German preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in LTL road transport is valued.
• Aggressive, positive and commercial attitude; strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Buy and sell LTL / FTL truck freight.
• Support the team growth by building and leading the carrier department.
• Placing and receiving telephone calls with the expectation of maintaining solid relationships.
• Tracking shipments with prompt communication to all teams.

Position Summary

• As a Carrier Representative, you will focus on building, maintaining, and growing a carrier base that will allow us to meet the transportation needs of our customers.
• You will be responsible for enhancing and increasing the carrier base through customer service, dispatching and booking loads.
• There will be a high volume of inbound/outbound calls, tracking of shipments and contacting internal teams to communicate shipment updates.

Who are we looking for?

• Languages: English must and one of the following languages: French, Polish, Romanian, German.
• 1-3 years of experience in the LTL truck road transport will be highly valuated
• Demonstrates an aggressive, positive and commercial attitude
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to persuade, prioritize and communicate via telephone and email
• Ability to deliver exceptional individual results
