Porsche Consulting seeks an Operational Excellence Consultant in Life Sciences to lead cross-functional, international teams. You will design scalable, sustainable solutions, manage workstreams, and present to executive leadership.

This role involves frequent travel to client sites in Italy and beyond. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in industrial operations, strong LS sector knowledge, and proficiency with IIoT, AI/ML, and data tools (Power BI/Tableau).

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial preferred) or equivalent.
• PhD or MBA is a strong asset.
• 3-5 years hands-on ops and process optimization in LS sectors.
• Solid understanding of Life Sciences value chains and regulatory env.
• Experience shaping operations strategy and footprint design.
• Familiarity with IIoT, AI/ML, Big Data analytics, AR/VR, Digital Twin.
• Proven team leadership and project management experience.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Your role

You will play a key role leading cross‑functional international teams, working closely with C‑level decision‑makers to design tailored, scalable, and sustainable solutions, while managing project workstreams, engaging senior stakeholders, and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.

As part of our Life Sciences Team, you will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, supporting leading players in addressing some of their most critical challenges, helping them transform innovation into operational excellence and build the capabilities required to succeed in an increasingly complex and evolving sector including:

This role requires full availability to travel (80% of your working time will be spent at client sites in Italy and abroad (EU and extra EU).

Your profile

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering) or an equivalent qualification. A relevant PhD or MBA is considered a strong asset.
• 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial operations and process optimization within international organizations or consulting firms operating across one or more core Life Sciences sub‑sectors (Pharma, Biotech, MedTech).
• Solid understanding of the broader Life Sciences sector, combined with deep knowledge of at least one core sub‑sector (Pharma, Biotech, MedTech), including its value chains, operating models, regulatory environment, and key dynamics.
• Demonstrated involvement in shaping operations strategy, optimizing footprint design, and redesigning industrial networks
• Knowledge of enabling technologies, including the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Big Data & Analytics, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Digital Twin technologies
• Direct experience managing teams and resources
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Enthusiasm for driving change
• Excellent command of Microsoft and AI‑powered tools
• Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Fluency in both Italian and English. Knowledge of German is a plus
• Willingness to travel and embrace new challenges

In accordance with applicable Italian pay transparency requirements, the annual gross base salary for this role in Italy starts at € 44,000. The final fixed salary will be determined based on objective, role‑related criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, and overall fit for the role.
