Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI) invites on-site Summer Engineering Interns to gain hands-on experience across Quality, Die Cast and Production.

You will analyze manufacturing processes, identify opportunities, and help implement improvements to quality, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Candidates should be team-oriented, self-starting, pursuing a BS in Engineering, with pre-employment drug/background screening.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; Currently enrolled and pursuing a B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Pre-employment screening (drug & background) required.

We are filling On-Site Summer 2027 Internships in the following department/Engineering areas:

• Quality
• Die Cast
• Production

Duties & Responsibilities

The Summer Engineering Intern will gain valuable, hands-on, experience in the analyzation of production and manufacturing processes. You will learn to identify opportunities and implement changes that improve quality, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving design, material, or process. Internship candidates must be team-oriented, self-starting, and willing to assume practical application in a professional environment setting.

Qualifications And Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an Engineering discipline
• Pass pre-employment screening (drug & background)

Desired

• Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student with an interest or experience in process improvement within a manufacturing setting
• Previous internship or automotive experience; basic understanding of industrial automation, Auto CAD, SolidWorks, PLC, CNC, robotics, SPS and machine operation

MACI Intern Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST- ON-SITE may be flexible, based upon course schedule requirements
• Ability to start by or before end of May 2027 through mid-August 2027
