UNICC in Brindisi, Italy, is seeking an Application Support Technician for a 6-month on-site engagement. The role provides Tier-2 IT support, application maintenance, and database administration across MSSQL and open-source databases. Collaboration with the Digital Solutions Managed Services team is essential.

The consultant will work under DSM Team Lead supervision, participate in deployments, and may be on-call with 24x7 standby as required. Teleworking up to one day per week is permitted.

Qualifications

• Specialist or expert-level proficiency in application maintenance and IT support.
• Experience providing Tier-2 support for business applications or enterprise tools.
• Database administration experience with MSSQL and open source databases.
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
• High school diploma required.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of applications and tools for UNICC and partners.
• Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases.
• Resolve Tier-2 application issues and escalate Tier-3 as needed.
• Assist in evaluating, configuring and installing new releases per CM standards.
• Assist in system upgrades and application changes during deployments.
• Deploy tools and support processes for operational efficiency.
• Respond to end-user queries from remote locations and provide training.
• Develop and update technical documentation and system reports.
