Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Installation Analyses Engineer to join the Asset Based Services team in Italy. You will assess the structural integrity of welds and offshore structures using fracture mechanics, employing FE tools such as ABAQUS and ANSYS, and coordinating testing with laboratories.

The role requires a Master’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering with structural focus, 0–2 years of experience in structural integrity, and knowledge of English (min. B1).

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with structural engineering focus.
0-2 years in Structural Integrity Engineering or related fields.
Familiarity with finite element software and fracture mechanics principles is a plus.
Knowledge of English at least B1.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analyses of welds and offshore structures to define allowable flaw sizes.
Coordinate with NDT and testing laboratories to verify repairs and tests.
Learn and apply PIPTECH processes for welding and non-destructive testing offshore.
Use FE tools (ABAQUS/ANSYS) for non-linear analyses and complex geometries.
