Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer OEM Chiller in Italy to deliver technical and commercial pre-sales support for chillers, heat pumps and thermal management solutions, coordinating with sales, product management, engineering and manufacturing to tailor customer solutions.

You will analyze customer requirements, prepare technical proposals and quotations, and contribute to new product development while traveling up to 40% to customer sites and trade shows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/HVAC engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, or OEM applications.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and heat exchangers.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken; ability to interpret specs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and commercial support to OEM customers during pre-sales.
• Analyze customer specifications to identify optimal product solutions.
• Prepare technical selections, performance calculations, and system recommendations.
• Develop and review technical and commercial proposals with sales and product management.
• Travel up to 20–40% for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
