The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Extern to support inpatient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position is hourly, PRN, with scheduled weekly hours of 8.

Education requirements include completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program and current enrollment; NCLEX must be passed within 12 months of graduation; AHA BLS certification is required.

• Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Has 12 months to pass NCLEX after graduating
• AHA BLS Certification

Mansioni

• The Nurse Extern performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient.
• The Nurse Extern may be cross-trained to operate as a Unit Secretary depending on unit needs.
• The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
