Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead Navy PORTS program efforts in Rhode Island. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to keep schedules, budgets, and deliverables on track.

Ideal candidates have a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years of management experience with software development projects and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be a US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects; liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
