Job summary

MUHA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support 20+ health care practices across the Pee Dee area. You will provide mechanical, facility maintenance, and troubleshooting support to ensure safe, reliable building systems and equipment.

The role involves performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and coordinating activities across multiple sites, with travel to sites as required. A High School degree and 3 years in facilities maintenance are required, with benefits typical of MUSC Health

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• 3 years with building maintenance/equipment maintenance needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems and facility equipment.
• Identify maintenance needs and develop appropriate solutions to maintain facility functionality, safety, and reliability.
• Respond to facility-related issues and coordinate maintenance activities across multiple practice locations.
• Provide technical assistance and support to maintenance personnel and various skilled trades as needed.
• Assist with projects involving mechanical systems, equipment installation, modifications, repairs, and facility improvements.
• Monitor the condition and performance of facility systems and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements when appropriate.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal personnel to ensure maintenance and project work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and projects.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable safety requirements, building codes, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Travel between assigned practice locations throughout the Pee Dee area as required to address operational and maintenance needs.
