Job summary

Pirelli is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support tyre development for the Motorsport segment from its HQ. You will apply FE analysis and mechanics know-how to advance high-performance tyres for major car manufacturers, collaborating with global teams and shaping advanced simulation workflows.

You will work on developing FE models, analyzing test results, and aligning development goals to drive innovation in tyres in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Product Development and/or FEA/FEM.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Proficiency with FEM tools (Abaqus, Ansys, Patran, Nastran, or Marc).
• Proficiency with Matlab and Python.
• Knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for Motorsport.

Responsibilities

• Develop finite element models using Abaqus to simulate tyre behavior in Motorsport
• Apply tyre mechanics principles to support tyre design
• Analyze indoor and outdoor test results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share information and align on development goals
