Job summary

Allianz Italia, based in Milan, seeks an Underwriting professional to develop and execute strategy for Property & Multinational risks in the Italian market. You will collaborate with the Group and support local strategy to meet Mid Corporate targets and serve as contact for agents/brokers.

You will lead underwriting activities, partner with Sales, Risk Consulting and Claims, and drive product development while ensuring governance and global standards are met.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Economics, or Law.
• 1–2 years of proven experience in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients (PD/BI and Theft).
• Preference for multinational client experience and knowledge in Property.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration lifecycle.
• Sound pricing knowledge with strong market analysis.
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent wordings.
• Experience in driving underwriting projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Data analytics.
• Very good knowledge of Office 365 and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level with Head of Property to achieve financial targets.
• Liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting lifecycle performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to achieve marketing strategies including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and governance per local rules and authorities.
• Support development/implementation of new or modified products.
• Assist in acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (agent/broker negotiations).
• Communicate local business strategy externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Property to drive the achievement of financial targets.
• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
• Work closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products
• Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering or Economics or Law or equivalent
• At least 1 to 2 years' proven experience in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients both PD/BI and Theft
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients as well as knowledge in Property.
• Proven leadership skills
• Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills
• Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings
• Ideally experience in driving underwriting projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in an international organization.

Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the role is classified at level 4 of the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement.

The initial gross annual salary, as provided for by the applicable National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the relevant Level, amounts to € 34.435,23.
