Job summary

Telnyx is building a local Enterprise Sales Pod in Milan, embedding with enterprise clients to architect and ship production systems on Telnyx’s global network. You will own the technical side from discovery to go-live, working closely with an Enterprise AE to close major deals.

You will deploy AI workloads, build API solutions, and lead POCs and production launches, while navigating EU compliance and multilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and shipping production software with on-call experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
• Understanding production issues: rate limits, timeouts, cost attribution.
• Kubernetes deployment and secrets/config management.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• High concurrency with distributed systems and event streams.
• APIs from scratch: REST/GraphQL, auth, versioning.
• Event-driven, cloud-native mindset and strong communication.
• Based in Milan or willing to relocate; hybrid travel across Italy.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers to understand their workflows and integration needs.
• Build and deploy custom implementations: AI Voice Assistants, Telnyx APIs (Voice, Messaging, Wireless).
• Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments or deploy self-hosted stacks.
• Deploy and operate LiteLLM as the model gateway for customers.
• Monitor and govern LLM usage: cost tracking, logging, observability.
• Create dashboards and runbooks; ensure production readiness.
• Design model routing for real-time voice workloads; balance latency and cost.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy between self-hosted models and hosted APIs.
• Adapt models to Italian, Spanish, Greek language use cases and EU rules.
• Lead POCs, pilots, and productions launches end-to-end.
