Nordson Precision Agriculture in Rubiera, Italy, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D Mechanical Engineering team. Design and develop advanced mechanical and mechatronics systems powering next-gen precision agriculture equipment.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent command of CAD tools and PLM.
• Solid knowledge of plastic injection-molded components design.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of project management principles and FMEA.
• Experience with FEM simulation is a plus.
• Intermediate level of English.

This is a permanent position based in Rubiera (Italy), reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in:

• Researching, designing, and developing advanced mechanical and hydraulic fluid transfer systems for precision agriculture
• Driving innovation by ensuring that every product meets — and exceeds — quality expectations and industry standards throughout development and production
• Supporting continuous improvement, cost optimization and efficiency initiatives
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions that meet customer needs

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Excellent command of CAD tools and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
• Strong experience in plastic injection-molded component design
• Solid knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Solid understanding of project management principles and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Experience with FEM simulation is a plus
• Intermediate level of English
